Hon'ble Chief Minister, Government of Karnataka has announced on 17-07-2008 in his budget speech 2008-09 that, Information Technology Parks will be taken up at Hubli-Dharwar, Belgaum, Gulbarga, Shimoga, Mangalore and Mysore, Tier-2/3 cities of Karnataka.
KEONICS has the distinction of establishing first Electronics City in the Asia and KEONICS has played a major role in making the Bangalore city as the Silicon Valley of India. KEONICS Electronics City is has the world class infrastructure which has housed major IT /ITES companies like Infosys, Hewlett & Packard, Wipro , Tata Electronics Development Services and Siemens etc. Today KEONICS Electronics City has become a major land mark in the world.
KEONICS has also established an IT Park, HUbli in an area of 3.2 acres with 2,75,000 Sq.Ft. IT workspace with world class infrastructures , which is operational since last 5 years. The IT Parks are being taken up in tier-2/3 cities of Karnataka. IT Park, Shimoga, Phase-I project of 67,599 Sq.Ft. is under construction, which will be ready by April 2011. The construction of IT Park, Gulbarga, Phase-I, 53000 Sq.Ft. will be commenced in September 2010 and expected to be complete by September 2011. IT/ITES-SEZ in an area of 36 acres being developed in Shimoga, Karnataka. In Mangalore and Mysore IT Parks with mixed use land development. |
